Fall Camporee – October 7 -9, ’22
This year, we’re attending the PTAC Fall Camporee at the McHenry County Fairgrounds.
Register & pay by noon, Sat. Sep. 10
What will be there?
The program will be based off your all-time favorite board games, video games, and game shows.
4 teams will compete in Scout Skills, Shooting Sports, STEAM Games, etc. to see who is the Camporee Champion.
In addition, they’ll have the following activities:
- STEM Activities
- Lasers, temperature experiments with liquid nitrogen, human-powered contraptions, Pinewood Derby physics
- Scoutcraft Activities
- Giant mouse trap, knot tying challenge, utensil-free cooking, built a Scout playground (towers, swings, gateway)
- Conservation Activities
- Nature trivia, pollination sensation, sea level limbo, conservation bingo
- Handicraft Activities
- Paracord bracelets, lanyards, kerchiefs, branding (!)

Cost: $47 before Sep. 10; $62 after Sep. 10
Includes activities, camping, regular meals like we have on camp outs
*Note: we will not be able to have on-the-ground fires, so Cast Iron cooking is out for this trip
We’ll meet at the Legion at 6:00 on Friday. *Eat dinner before you arrive, as we won’t be stopping on the way to Woodstock.
We’ll leave for the Legion Sunday morning, with a planned return before 10 am.
